SEMINAR

Beyond Europe: The directive on waste of electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE1) and on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment (ROHS2)

You produce electrical and electronic equipment or components: are you prepared?

In 2006, the new directives on the waste and use of hazardous substances such as lead or cadmium in electrical and electronic equipment shall go into effect in the European Community. Although it is essentially a European directive, did you know that countries like China and Japan, along with some American states, have also followed suit?

Whether you produce electrical or electronic equipment or supply components, your products may well be subject to these requirements in the near future. Are you prepared?

To fully understand the issues and different regulations being implemented across the globe, and how they may impact your products, and to find out how you can comply with the new requirements, sign up for this one-day seminar hosted by two international experts and offered exclusively by CRIQ in partnership with the Comité sectoriel de la main-d'oeuvre du secteur électrique et électronique (CSMOIEE).

Date: February 1, 2005 at CRIQ in Québec and February 2, 2005 at CRIQ in Montréal.
