	CRIQ is very active in the area of biofiltration for treating wastewater and contaminated air, particularly in the municipal, industrial and agricultural sectors. For example, the BIOSORTM biofiltration system is designed to simultaneously treat water and air. This is a slow filtration process based on the use of a biofilm fixed on an organic bed.
