Hojjat Mahi

Polymer specialist

Hojjat Mahi has a postdoctoral degree in polymer engineering and a PhD in chemical engineering from Université Laval as well as a masters in polymer engineering from Tarbiat Modares University in Iran and a bachelor’s degree in polymer engineering (surface coverings) from Polytechnic university of Tehran in Iran. Before joining CRIQ, he was a biomaterials scientist at FPInnovations and also worked for over five years in the polymer and plastics industry.

His main areas of scientific activity include converting plastic waste, developing new plastic materials, testing and formulating polymer materials, bionanocomposites, cellulose composites, polymer processing and chemistry, insulating foams, and adhesives.
