Client: Atelier d'usinage Quenneville

Intent on diversifying its clientele and its product line, Atelier d’usinage Quenneville enlisted the services of the CRIQ to conduct a study to identify new business opportunities. The mandate entailed devising a list of potential new clients for the services currently offered by the business, in addition to finding new products to manufacture.

A total of 32 market segments were briefly analyzed and approximately 12 of these were covered by an in-depth analysis as a result of which three were selected. For these new sectors, 1550 businesses were surveyed, 70 of which were apt to award subcontracts for the machining of precision parts or the assembly of mechanically welded parts. These contacts made it possible to identify approximately 40 businesses interested in outsourcing tooling or assembly operations.

Contracts were signed for tooling and precision parts with new clients identified by the CRIQ. The purchase of new equipment therefore became a necessity for this company that was more than a century old, which once again successfully turned to the CRIQ to satisfy its needs.
